<mcf>i still prefer libressl over openssl, if only because the configure script doesn't require perl
...
<merakor>Digit: still using bedrock, huh? :D
<merakor>mcf: Yeah, perl is definitely a big bummer
<merakor>Though I am more inclined in the direction of patching stuff to use bearssl instead
<merakor>I've had recently sent a patch to bearssl's maintainer to add an option to the command line interface
<merakor>Never got a reply though
<merakor>It was just a simple flag to ignore EOF, similar to openssl's -ign_eof client option
...
<merakor>FYI git.carbslinux.org is going down for the next few days beginning now

...
<merakor>I released cpt 6.0.0-rc1 and added it to the testing repository
...
<Digit>good to be back. had to kill off one install of bedrock that had carbs in it. ... less than a day of the new bedrock, and i'm reaching for carbs again. carbs has my heart. :)
<Digit> carbs-rootfs-20200928-x86_64.tar.xz still the latest?
<Digit>or perhaps better questions... everything still progressing? where can i keep better track of goings on? ought i just git? ~ *checks out the blog post from a fortnight ago* mm, nice touch with org-mode to generate the site. org-mode <3 so... everything just settling into the changes? :) ok, i'll cease my over-enthused ramblings now. :)

<merakor>Welcome back Digit :)
<merakor>Yeah, 20200928 tarball is the latest for now, although I was planning on making a release around the beginning of April
<merakor>You can download the latest repository from git, I have had a few ideas around some repository changes recently, although I am not quite done with the implementation.
<merakor>I was recently thinking of migrating the repositories to fossil (while continuing to mirror them to git repositories)
<Digit>cool cool. :) well, i've still lots and lots of familiarising with carbs tools n arrangements to do.
<merakor>Just tell me if you run up to any issues :)
<merakor>There are things where documentation is lacking, and I am holding the next release of cpt until I complete them
<Digit>will do. :) (tho got distracted just now realising today libreplanet's on!)
<merakor>Oh wow time flies fast
<merakor>I completely forgot about it
<Digit>same here.
<acheam>merakor: gonna watch it in emacs?
<merakor>lmao
<merakor>I would if I could
<acheam>you could use emacs-webkit
<merakor>Duh Emacs has already a browser
<merakor>It's name is *eww*
<acheam>you can't watch video in eww though...

<merakor>If only Emacs had ffmpeg in it :(
<merakor>Oh no
<acheam>I think you can use ffmpeg in EAF
<merakor>EAF?
<merakor>Oh okay okay
<merakor>Now I remember
<acheam>yeah if you can do it in qt you can do it in eaf
<merakor>Wow it does have a Video player as well, the ultimate OS in OS
<merakor>Depends on Python, Qt5, and Javascript
<merakor>I don't use qt though, I try to stay gtk only
<acheam>hmm yeah
<merakor>lmao https://github.com/manateelazycat/emacs-application-framework/blob/master/screenshot/image_viewer.gif
<merakor>An entire directory of RMS pictures
* Digitimagines opening a terminal in emacs, then maybe forcing video through browsh or something using sixels, or maybe just some mode in mplayer/mpv that keeps it in 'terminal'/'tty' :3
<merakor>Oh no it only works on GUI Emacs :D

<Digit>from docs, so far, only sussed how to install and upgrade for including carbs/cpt in rspm, and half-suspect i may need write my own wrapper for cpt to bring it into able to fit in rspm('s "install","remove","update","upgrade","search" simplified paradigm). [ rspm being: https://notabug.org/Digit/rspm/src/master/rspm.sh ]
<Digit>s/bring it into able to/make it/ (lol, 3 re-edits left that silly extra verbose phrasing. early morning over-eager, lol. wonder what else my sleepy head misses in docs/code.)
<Digit>ah, remove and search found too. easy enough. just updating available packages list for me to find yet...
