I run this script from the previous tarball, but it should work as well in alpine
<mrlear>
Thx
<merakor>
Sure
<merakor>
Well you should obviously install some build-essentials there
<merakor>
I don't know what they are called on Alpine
<merakor>
on Arch and void it is called base-devel
<merakor>
on Debian it is called build-essentials
<merakor>
I guess it was base-dev, but I am not sure either
<mrlear>
I understand
<mrlear>
I will try it and let you know
<mrlear>
Bye

<plasmoduck>
What is this distro like?
...
<merakor>
plasmoduck: Hey, sorry for the late reply. I wasn't on IRC for a while.
...
<merakor>
The distro is a pretty simplistic source-based distribution.
<merakor>
It uses its own package manager cpt which was initially forked from kiss, but its main focus is being extensible and scriptable. It is somewhat like a combination of kiss and xbps.
<merakor>
The distro also has a simpler base, it uses bearssl in place of libressl, and byacc instead of bison.

loving carbs, so far. can't fault it, or suggest better in any way for it.

<merakor>
That's great to hear!

<raph_ael>
hi
<raph_ael>
I'm installing carbs, and cpt b pkg says pkg does not exist (indeed nothing in repo) neither package
<raph_ael>
thanks
<raph_ael>
and wpa_supplicant not build for perl checksum mismatch
<raph_ael>
sorry for bringing bad news :)
<merakor>
cpt b pkg is for an example there isn't actually a package named pkg
<merakor>
You can run cpt c perl for now while I fix it, sorry for that :)
<merakor>
It may also be that there was a failure while downloading perl, you can clear the cache by removing the $HOME/.cache/sources/perl directory
